Ichitami Shikanai, 7th Dan in Aikido, was born in 1947 at Omori Japan, and was a student of Kobayashi Sensei since university times. Arrived in Brazil in 1975 as an Aikikai representative. Taught 7 years in Rio De Janeiro – Niteroi, and then moved to central Brazil to Belo-Horizonte.
He organized an hosted dozens of seminars with high ranked teachers from Hombu-Dojo including Kobayashi Sensei who visits Brazil regularly, and 3 times the late Doshu - Kisshomaru Uesiba.
In the past years as long as he appointed more teachers, his organization grew, and more and more Dojos looked for his guidance. An organization by the name Aizen Dojos has been founded, which includes dozens of teachers, and hundreds of students all over Brazil. Shikanai Sensei teaches besides Aikido, Iaido and Shinto Muso Ryu Jo.
In the last years a strong relationship started forming between Shikanai Sensei and Nishioka Sensei Headmaster of the SMR Seyriokai group.Seminars are beeing held constantly in Brazil to all Aikido schools throughout the country by Phil Relnik Sensei which is a master in Smr-jo by himself and is the formal supervisor appointed by Nishioka sensei.
Shikanai Sensei is the Sensei advisor and technical supervisor of Aikido Aizen in Israel,and is invited once a year to conduct seminars and teach Magal sensei personally.
